Danish firm ScanCom manufacture the DuraOcean using recycled plastics with the ‘majority’ of the 3.5 kg plastic sourced from fishing nets and ‘other salvaged plastic debris’ (the chair is also available in a version using recycled household plastics). DuraOcean achieved a below average ERPR score; it has wooden legs, cannot be stacked or dismantled to reduced transport impacts, it is available in only one style with three colour choices.
