The B.S.P Series was designed and manufactured by South Korea based Atelier Sohn in 2025. The series represents an interesting use of discarded plastic parts. The designer was inspired by building models as a child and used a similar approach to construct these chairs. They are of most interest for their bold raw, unfinished aesthetic (with a range of colours to choose from). From an environmental perspective they perform very poorly when compared with other designs made using recycled plastics. Each chair weighs 21kg and is shipped individually, causing significant transport impacts. Chairs are hand-made and cannot be recycled at the end of life.
