Note: Designed by Ludovica + Roberto Palomba for Kartell, who claim the chair was born from “Roberto Palomba and Ludovica Serafini’s love for travel and desire to hybridize worlds, having tribal elements expressed in plastic” The Be Pop’s score, in my comparison of sustainable designs, was impacted by the fact the chair cannot be recycled at the end of its life as mixed plastic waste has been used in the manufacturing process. The chair is only available with 3 colour choices. No variants to the standard model are offered and it cannot be stacked during transport. Chair is shipped solus in a carton with over 3kg of packaging resulting in a below average score.
