Note:
The Flax chair is made from a composite material made from four layers of woven flax textile and five layers of a dry-needle felted flax. The woven linen and PLA (a biodegradable plastic) textile uses long flax fibres and is extremely strong, the felted flax material provides bulk and texture. Heat pressing melts the flax and PLA into the shape of a rigid chair.
The chair is made from a single sheet of material with very little waste. The Flax chair is biodegradable. Despite these impressive credentials the chair only received an average ERPR losing marks for transport (is shipped individually) and lack of colour choices or variants to the basic model.
