Note:
An exciting novel design with a disappointing ERPR score. The chair arrives flat packed and can be assembled and dis-assembled by the end-user with no need for screws or metal inserts. All parts are made using a single mould and the plastic is sourced from Ogyre, who pay fisherman to re-claim plastic from the ocean - a rare example of real ocean plastic being used. However, the manufacturer only claims that a purchase contributes to the removal of just 0.5kg of plastic from the ocean. The origin of the remaining 2.5kg is unknown. The chair arrives in a recycled and recyclable pulp pack shipped direcly from the manufacturer, further reducing distribution impacts. Despite these impressive credentials the Oto Chair only achieved an average ERPR score. The chair cannot be recycled at end of life and chairs are shipped individually. Only one standard variant is available.
