Note:
At first sight you could be forgiven for assuming this is a Phillipe Stack creation for Kartell. However, the Parisienne was designed by Archirivolto Design for the Italian manufacturer Calligaris in 2025. The Parisienne is an update of the classic French bentwood bistro chair from the early 20th Century. The design is available in four polycarbonate colours with a version made from recycled polypropylene also available in 2 colours (black or white). Insufficient information is available for me to evaluate its environmental credentials. The same design team developed another polycarbonate chair, Satin Tropez for Calligaris and launched in 2017. Calligaris appear to have only three plastic chairs in their catalogue at present, with many more designs featuring traditional materials.
