Originally designed by Phillipe Stack and Eugene Quitllet for Driade in the late 2000s this version of the PIP-e chair was introduced in 2021 and features a technopolymer made from post-consumer plastic waste. The design was awarded a high score for choice of materials in my analysis, but the overall score was held back by the fact the material cannot be recycled at the end of life. The Pip-e green only achieved a below average score in my analysis. The chair is not stacked during transport and cannot be recycled at end-of-life.
