Note:
The hemispherical chair was designed in the autumn of 1963 and originally called Globus. Møre Lenestolfabrikk manufactured the chair from 1964 and marketed it under the name Planet. Fiberglass-reinforced polyester was used to mould the shell of the chair with leather or fabric upholstery, chrome-plated steel and rosewood used for the base. The design was relaunched by Fora Form in 2002 (since deleted), and was available with an optional tilt mechanism. Stacking two Planet chairs, one upside down on the other, creates a perfect sphere, providing the inspiration for the name given to the design.
