Note: Designed by Hee Welling for &tradition in 2022. This outdoor version of earlier design is made using recycled plastic for the shell. Although recycled plastic is used for the shell (with 10% fibreglass added) the base is made from steel and product must be dismantled at end-of-life for reprocessing. The design is reminiscent of Robin Day’s hugely successful Polyside Chair, designed for Hille and launched in 1963. This version of the chair is available in white or black only. The earlier indoor version (with 15% fibreglass) is available in a wider range of colours and offered with a variety of shell and base options which would attract a higher score for appeal. Overall, this version achieved a below average score in my analysis
